Company Axis Percussion at T-D-S
Background

Axis Percussion is based in Carson, California, and manufacturers high-end drum pedals and hardware. Their flagship AX-A single bass drum debuted in 1990, and features a variable drive lever system, as well as components fabricated from aircraft grade aluminum. Their X-Series pedals feature the same ball-bearing action but with a fixed drive lever system. Axis also offers their unique Longboards pedals, which feature stretched footboards hinged near the bottom to new levels of performance, leverage and power. Axis also manufacturers hi-hat stands, cymbal stands, and other hardware, and offers many upgrade parts for their pedals.

Axis AL-2 Longboard Double Pedal

Axis AL-2 Longboard Double Pedal

The Axis AL-2 Longboard Double Pedal is light, fast, and smooth. Double version of the Axis A with an improved drive-shaft linkage specifically designed to maintain the all-ball-bearing action that sets these pedals apart from anything else in the industry. The universal joints feature a zero-backlash design that transfers power from the slave side to the primary side with maximum torque, rebound, and sensitivity.

Axis X-L2 Longboard Double Pedal

Axis X-L2 Longboard Double Pedal

The Axis X-L2 Longboard Double Pedal extends the usable footboard area by 2". This design greatly increases leverage, power and speed by allowing the entire leg (calf and knee) to be powerfully expressed with the use of heel-toe strokes. It is fabricated from aircraft-grade aluminum and steel, handcrafted to the highest level of quality.

Axis A2 Double Pedal

Axis A2 Double Pedal

Improved drive-shaft linkage is specifically designed to maintain the all-ball-bearing action which sets Axis double pedals apart. Patented variable drive lever lets you get the feel of any type of pedal with one simple adjustment. Beater-forward design substantially increases power without feeling heavier, for more speed and punch from both heel-up and heel-down players. The universal joints feature a "zero backlash" design which transfers the power from the slave side to the primary side with the maximum torque, rebound, and sensitivity.

Axis X2 Double Pedal

Axis X2 Double Pedal

A pro pedal all the way, it uses the zero-backlash linkage mechanism for unmatched control. The pedal can be split apart and used as 2 independent singles. Superior performance is due in part to the use of multiple ball bearings, improved heel design, and the power of direct pull linkage. A self-centering spring assembly allows for easy pedalboard adjustments. All parts are machined of structural grade aircraft aluminum and steel (no inferior cast parts), and the popular wide footboard design has been given a new brushed aluminum finish.

Axis X2 Double Pedal, Left-Footed

Axis X2 Double Pedal, Left-Footed

The X2 is a pro level double featuring the all ball bearing action that distinguishes all Axis series pedals. It also has zero backlash linkage that transfers maximum torque to give you unequaled control, rebound, and sensitivity. The 2 pedals can also be separated and used independently.

Axis Longboards A Single Drum Pedal

Variable drive lever allows the player to obtain the feel of any type of pedal with one simple adjustment. The beater-forward design substantially increases the power of the AXIS A without making it feel heavier, resulting in an increase of both speed and punch from both heel-up and heel-down players.

Axis AAX-X Single Pedal

Axis AAX-X Single Pedal

All parts are machined of aircraft aluminum and steel, and its wide foot board has a brushed aluminum finish. Superior performance has been gained through multiple ball bearings, improved heel design, and direct pull linkage. A "self-centering" spring assembly allows for easy pedalboard adjustments.

Axis AX-XHH Hi Hat Stand

Axis AX-XHH Hi Hat Stand

Now your hi-hat can finally play with the same precision and accuracy that is demanded from a second bass drum pedal thanks to the new "precision-pull" roller bearing design. Precise spring tension is easily attained through the use of the 6-way "Set and Forget" pedal tension adjustment. Now you can quickly change and remember the pedal tension that is needed for different musical styles. The axe-XHH is made of lightweight, yet tough, solid aluminum. The innovative new Vortex leg design is both strong and durable. The leg assembly on the axe-XHH was designed so that it can be freely rotated into any position for easier double pedal placement and has the ability to tilt in any direction.

Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Stand

Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Stand

The VST uses a low profile, replaceable "Snare Tripod Basket" that remains attached to the drum at all times. The basket has 3 telescoping rods with cylindrical nylon "Finger Pads" that securely grip the bottom hoop. Because of the sleek design, the drum and basket assembly can fit into standard cases and bottom heads can be changed easily.

Axis VCS-B Vortex Boom Cymbal Stand

Axis VCS-B Vortex Boom Cymbal Stand

Incorporates a totally new ball bearing "Precision Tilter" that eliminates cymbal slippage and incorporates cymbal stacking and X-hat capability on the tilter.
